- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barycenter - or barycentre; from the Ancient Greek βαρύς heavy + κέντρον center, is the center of mass of two or more bodies that orbit one another and is the point about which the bodies orbit. It is an important concept in such fields as astronomy and astrophysics. The distance from a body's center of mass to the barycenter can be calculated as a two-body problem.
- Libre Space Foundation - Our Vision is an Open and Accessible Outer Space for all. We believe that space should be claimed the libre (open source) way. Mission Our Mission is to promote, advance and develop libre (free and open source) technologies and knowledge for space. To do that, we design, develop and deliver space related projects ranging from Ground Station equipment to global monitoring Networks and satellite missions. History Libre Space Foundation (LSF) is a non-profit foundation registered since 2015 in Greece from the creators of the SatNOGS project. You can read our goals and mission in our founding statute here. How we roll Libre Space Foundation (LSF) governance model and processes are open and freely accessible to anyone. You can read our Mode of Operation in the Libre Space Foundation documentation pages. People Libre Space Foundation (LSF) is a non-profit foundation, with many contributors and members around the world.

- Astronomical Calendars - "Over the past few years, I have been adding different astronomical events to an iCal calendar, mainly the moons and seasons. I've built up a pretty good calendar and decided to make it available to others as an iCalendar/vCalendar (ics) subscription."
Earth
- RealEarth - a data discovery and visualization platform developed at SSEC/CIMSS at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to support outreach and collaboration efforts of scientists.
Satellite
- AMSAT-UK - represents the amateur satellite community in the UK whose members not only operate amateur satellites but also help to design, build and fund them. AMSAT-UK is a wholly voluntary club. All its officers and members do any work on a purely voluntary basis. AMSAT-UK has no paid employees, and is run solely to support its members in their pursuit of their hobby of amateur radio space activities. It does not undertake any commercial activities. Members are asked to make a small annual donation to cover the expenses of running the club, mainly the production and distribution of Oscar News, a quarterly newsletter sent to all members. Any money that is surplus is used to support the Amateur Satellite Service as defined by the ITU.
- SATFLARE - In this page you can track in real time all the satellites orbiting the Earth, with both 2D and 3D interactive representations, predict their passes, view their trajectory among stars on an interactive sky chart, predict satellite flares and transits (across the Sun and the Moon), find out the best location to see these events on a detailed Google map. You can also follow satellite re-entries and other special events, join the observer community, post messages and share your comments and observations. Currently in our database we have more than 9000 observation reports!
- AWS Ground Station - a fully managed service that lets you control satellite communications, downlink and process satellite data, and scale your satellite operations quickly, easily and cost-effectively without having to worry about building or managing your own ground station infrastructure. Satellites are used for a wide variety of use cases, including weather forecasting, surface imaging, communications, and video broadcasts. Ground stations are at the core of global satellite networks, which are facilities that provide communications between the ground and the satellites by using antennas to receive data and control systems to send radio signals to command and control the satellite. Today, you must either build your own ground stations and antennas, or obtain long-term leases with ground station providers, often in multiple countries to provide enough opportunities to contact the satellites as they orbit the globe. Once all this data is downloaded, you need servers, storage, and networking in close proximity to the antennas to process, store, and transport the data from the satellites.

- SatNOGS - a complete platform of a open satellite ground-station network. The scope of the project is to create a full stack of open technologies based on open standards , and the construction of a full ground station as a showcase of the stack. SatNOGS provides the basis for: Bulk manufacturing and deployment of affordable Satellite Ground Stations Modular design for integration with existing and future technologies A platform for a variety of instrumentation around Satellite Ground Station operations A firm platform for a Ground Station collaborative network (one to one, one to many, many to many) A community based approach on Ground Station development A solution for massive automation of operator-less Ground Stations based on open standards SatNOGS is a modular and scalable stack for Satellite Ground Station implementation. Fully based on open source technologies and open standards, it provides interoperability with existing or future subsystems. A Global Management Network is the key part of our stack, connecting multiple observers with multiple ground stations enabling tracking and monitoring of satellites from multiple locations around the world. The data gathered will be publicly accessible through the network website.
- https://wiki.satnogs.org - an integral part of the Libre Space Foundation. The project aims to build a global network of satellite ground stations. It is designed as an open source participatory project based on the users operating a ground station that is accessed via a web page for all of the network users. A basic ground station can be made up of commercial off the shelf components that are commonly available with a static omnidirectional antenna, to more complex stations with multiple movable antennas.
AZ/EL Ground Station with VHF and UHF Antennas
If you would like to build your own ground station and have limited knowledge then it is recommended that you follow a non-rotator build with a simple RTL-SDR dongle and a Raspberry Pi. This will get you on to the network quickly and allow you to start scheduling observations. There are a few choices to be made but the community are available to help if you need it. More complex, movable, antenna systems can be steered with either the SatNOGS designed rotator or a commercial unit such as the Yaesu G-5500, Spid XY or similar. It is recommended that these types of builds are for more experienced operators but there is no reason why these can not be put into operation, they just require more work. The reference design uses a Raspberry Pi + RTL-SDR dongle + either a VHF or UHF antenna. A Raspberry Pi image is available to make software installation simpler. Much of the decision making is down to personal choice but sometimes additional hardware is needed to help filter out local noise, such as strong broadcast stations. Both the community and Matrix / IRC offer support and assistance.

SExtractor
- SExtractor – Astromatic.net - a program that builds a catalogue of objects from an astronomical image. Although it is particularly oriented towards reduction of large scale galaxy-survey data, it can perform reasonably well on moderately crowded star fields.
Telescope
- PICTOR - A free-to-use Radio Telescope
- PiFinder - adds precision positioning and push-to functionality to any scope! Using an on-board camera it matches star patterns to quickly and accurately determine where your scope is pointing with no need for encoders or star alignment. Attaches to your scope just like a finder and provides a complete set of observing features with it’s built in OLED screen and backlit keypad.
